Page 1 of 2 The purpose of these programmes is to prepare students for a professional career as a sport professional, sport administrator or sport event manager. All students undertaking the Diploma of Sport (Development) will be required to study the compulsory core and stream units plus elective units for study and high-level sport training. Students may also select to choose from a wide range of related managerial, coaching or sport development units to meet their individual career goals. To be issued with the Diploma, the student must complete at least 37 units.
SRS50506 (Development) - 3 YEARS CRICOS Code 053488K Format & Delivery StructureThe SRS50506 Diploma in Sport (Development) will be delivered over 3 academic years. Each year will have four teaching terms of nine (9 weeks each) with 24 hours of instruction in each week. Nominal hours- 36 weeks per year of tuition

- 216 hours academic instruction per year.
- Total over 3 years 648 hours.
- 360 hours golf practice and golf theory plus 288 hours private practice, match play & tournament per year; total 648 hours per year. Total over 3 years 1944 hours.
- 2592 hours total over three years comprising 1944 hours golf practice and theory and 648 hours academic subjects.
Weekly instructional hours- 10 hours theory and practical.*
- 8 hours private practice and training, match play & tournament
- 6 hours instruction academic subjects
OutcomeThe purpose of this programme is to prepare students for a professional career as a golf professional.
Entry RequirementsStudents are expected to have an English language ability of at least IELTS Band 5.5 (or equivalent). For overseas students English requirements are as set down by DIAC as applicable to course, provider and category. Students are also expected to be learner participants or coaches in the respective sport in which they are seeking a qualification.
Exit PointsStudents may exit the programme at any 3 month interval, up to a total of 36 months tuition duration. A statement of attainment will be issued when a student exits the programme, according to the competencies and elements of competencies attained during the student’s time at ITAGC College.
Recognition of Prior LearningRecognition of Prior Learning will be granted to those students who provide evidence of relevant competencies and knowledge through recognition of prior learning. Students may be given credit upon substantiation of that claim.
Start Dates 2008February, May, July, October Please contact the College for actual starting dates. Start dates are dependent upon sufficient enrolments being obtained for that student intake.
Programme CostsFees for each year please refer to Fee page. Fees are paid on either a yearly or half yearly in basis (in advance). The fees are inclusive of College tuition fees and Golf Club membership fees, subject to the golf club policy. Total fees are calculated on the individual students total enrolment time to completion of the award and are calculated on a pro rata basis.
