Accommodation Options

Students studying at ITAGC College may choose to live in either rented accommodation or home stay with an Australian family. Rented accommodation options are detailed below. The ITAGC College Student Services Officer on each campus will personally discuss with each student their needs and tailor a specific accommodation package to suite their individual needs.

Home-stay Option

A very rewarding option for overseas students is to stay with an Australian family. Living in a family environment, students are able to practice and perfect their English language skills in real life situations whilst sharing in the daily life of their host family. ITAGC College carefully selects our Home-stay families to ensure the best possible matching and placement.
Home-stay students living on the Gold Coast enjoy the security of a safe and friendly family environment. There they can live and enjoy all the benefits of being part of a family living close to the beach in the beautiful Gold Coast sunshine.

ITAGC College carefully selects our Home-stay families to ensure the most compatible matching and placement.
The host family must provide breakfast and dinner (Monday to Friday) and three meals per day on weekends.

Other Accommodation

ITAGC College provides a service to assist students to secure forms of accommodation other than home-stay; this may be shared accommodation, serviced apartments, boarding houses and hostels. Prices vary according to the level of accommodation chosen and on whether students wish to share or live alone. Prices for other accommodation can range from $AUD130 upwards per week for shared accommodation.

Living Costs

Students should allow approximately AUD$130 per week for entertainment, fares and out of pocket expenses whilst studying in Australia.

Charges

There is a home-stay placement fee of AUD$200 and an accommodation placement fee of AUD$150 for other accommodation if arranged by ITAGC/IPGA staff.
