Jacky was introduced to golf at age of 12. By 14 he had become the national champion in the under 15 division in China, and by the age of 18, he had won 6 national junior titles. He maintained a top ten amateur ranking for two consecutive years and represented his country in both junior and amateur divisions, finally winning the 1998 World Junior Championship in the UK. He was also the youngest player to have ever been selected into the national team at the age of 15. Rather than turn professional, Jacky took the first ever scholarship present by China Golf Association and Hong Textile Co, and came to Gold Coast Australia to seek a greater knowledge of golf. After completing his undergraduate and postgraduate degree with the PGA of Australia and Griffith University, he moved to the Sunshine Coast and completed his traineeship with Tom Fielding. He continued working as a instructor at Club Pelican and Titanium Golf Academy and became the first ever non national to gain Australian PGA membership. Jacky works as a golf coach and student coordinator at ITAGC. He prides himself on being able to help people of all ages and ability levels. His personal motto being “people don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care”. Jacky is currently competing on the Australian PGA circuits and is able to teach golf in both Mandarin and English.
